The 7th grade team put together a tremendous game against the New Deal Lions to wrap up their 2019 football season. The Roughnecks came out of the gate hungry looking for their last win of their season. The Roughnecks did an outstanding job running the football down the field, and the Sundown defense dominated the line of scrimmage as they helped turn the ball over to the Roughneck offense. Running back Jarren Flores had his best game by scoring three touchdowns to put the Roughnecks on top. Jarren Flores ran behind an outstanding offensive line, which led him to the promise land. “Our offense did great, and our offensive line dominated the line of scrimmage, which helped lead us to the victory,” said a pleased Coach Robinson. “Our defense played very well, they held the lions to only eight points and just shut them down the whole night,” reported Coach Robinson. Overall the Roughnecks had an outstanding night beating the New Deal Lions 22-8, and wrapping up their season with a perfect record of 8-0-1. Congratulations to the Roughnecks on working very hard this season, and a great job to Coach Robinson and Coach Igo for putting in countless hours molding this team together. WAY TO GO ROUGHNECKS!!!!
