A Merry Roughneck Christmas was presented on December 15, 2019 at 2:30pm at the SISD Auditorium. It was a Christmas music program of 5th-12th Grade Bands from SISD. The show's directors are Justin Mauldin, Georgann Weisgerber, and Mack Bibb.
These astonishing students have worked with energy and commitment on their show since late October. The program started with the 5th grade beginner band. The 5th grade beginner band that has at least 90 students did a demonstration first, followed by Jingle Bells. The 6th and 7th Grade combined band, with at least 115 students, performed the following songs: “Christmas Kings,” arranged by. Balent, “We Wish You A Merry Christmas,” arranged by. Sweeny, and “Jingle Bell Rock,” also arranged by. Sweeney.
The High School Concert Band that has at least 100 students played the following songs: “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” arranged by. Brown, “All Is Calm,” arranged by. Smith, and “How The Grinch Stole Christmas Concert Medley,” arranged by. Story. The students and directors would like to say “Thank you” to the Sundown ISD School Board and administration for all of their support.
