The Roughnecks took on their second powerlifting meet of the season on Thursday, January the 30th, and traveled to Tahoka. The results from the Tahoka meet were a vast improvement from the first meet in Abernathy.
Adion Olivas placed 1st in the 132 weight class along with Carlos Perez in second, and Brayden Sanders in 3rd. In the 181 weight class Blake Hulse placed 1st, followed by E.J. Hernandez in 2nd, and Kevin Garcia in 3rd. Overall, the boys as a team placed 1st and earned 50 points total. Congratulations to all of the boys who traveled to Tahoka, and took care of business!!!
On the girls side, CJ Lopez placed 1st in the 165 weight class followed by Burgundi Hoover in 4th, Saharia Reyes in 8th, and Bridget Reyes in 9th. In the 181’s, Revee Carranza was 2nd ,and Victoria Bladwin was 5th. The girls team placed 2nd all together with a total of 34 points. Congrats to the Roughettes; great job ladies!!! The next meet will be held at Levelland High School on February the 8th for GIRLS ONLY!! Best wishes and safe travels to the girls as they get ready to compete in Levelland.
