The SHS Boys Cross Country team won first at the Regional XC Championship. There were 7 boys running in the meet for the red and blue, and two out of the seven finished under the top ten, with Brayden Sanders placing 3rd overall with a time of 18:19.30 and brother Branson Sanders placing 5th with a time of 18:33.40. The team scored 59 points with an average time of 18:59.60. Mathias Salgado placed 13th with a time of 19:01.60. Koy Torres crossed the finish line at 15th with a time of 19:08.60. Aidon Olivas placed 27th with a time of 19:55.30. Rickey Melendez placed 32nd with a time of 20:13.00. Carlos Perez finished 34th with a time of 20:18.10. Now they are going to be training for two weeks before they head on over to State at Round Rock, Texas at Old Settler’s Park on Tuesday, November 24th at 9:45am.
