
Elementary celebrated Character Counts this morning with fifth grade performing a respect skit, South Plains College goodie bag drawings and Jumping for George.





The Roughneck players greeted the elementary students as they entered the building today. Come support the team tonight at Slaughter Field at 7:30pm as the Sundown Roughnecks will take on the New Deal Lions! SHS IS THE BEST!


Yesterday, the Regional 1 Congressional Debate Meet took place in Lubbock. Bridget Reyes placed 7th. Avery Avery placed 5th and is the Second State Alternate. Courtney Black earned the Bronze Medal and will compete at State Congress in January. In keeping with the winning tradition, Sundown High School has represented Region 1 at State every year that Congress has been a UIL sanctioned event.Congratulations to Mrs. Nichols & these SHS students!

The JV Football game at New Deal on Thursday, 11/7 will start at 5:00 pm. The 7th grade will also start at 5:00 pm at Sundown. Go Roughnecks!!!
