Join us tonight at 8 PM, in the Facility, to "Welcome Home" our Band! We are so proud of them and want to show them our love and support!

The Sundown Band has finished their state contest and now it’s time for Cross Country to begin theirs. The Pride of the Oil Patch and members of the Sundown community put together a send off for Kaytlin Clausen to wish her luck in Austin at the state meet. This took place in the parking lot of the Alamo Quarry! Good luck Kaytlin!!

The Sundown Band has finished in 6th Place at the UIL State Marching Contest for Class 2A! We have had an amazing year full of love and support from the community! We had a great showing 415 miles away from home as we had so many supporters in the stands for both performances today here in San Antonio! There’s no better place than being a part of Sundown! Congratulations to our Band! We are extremely proud of each and everyone of you! Congratulations to our Band Directors Mr. Justin Mauldin, Mrs. Ashley Blount and Mr. Mack Bibb. Also a special thanks to Tricia Nevarez, Amber Mauldin, Tristan Nock and John Rogers!

ONE MORE TIME!
This has been quite a journey! The progress that has been made from a month ago to now competing at the State Finals at the UIL State Marching Contest has been amazing! Our kids have continued to work hard and have earned the right to play tonight at 9 PM! Hearing such talented musicians throughout the year has been such a treat! What a great experience to hear this band warming up for the best performance of the year! It will send chills down your spine!

State Band Pics (prelims) now posted on the Sundown Roughnecks Facebook page!

Sundown Band Advances to Finals!
Congratulations to The Pride of the Oil Patch as we have advanced to the finals at the UIL State Marching Contest! We had an amazing performance in prelims, but the best is yet to come! We hope to perform our best show of the year this evening at 9 PM!!!

It’s Time! 12:30 PM to watch The Pride of the Oil Patch do WORK! Blue collar mentality!

Congratulations to 2023 Sundown High School graduate Seaman Juan Carlos (JC) Camacho. JC recently graduated from Navy Basic Training in Illinois with his family proudly attending. Thank you for your service, Seaman Camacho! Sundown is extremely proud of you! We are grateful for a community of educators that continue to invest in the lives of so many young lives to help them reach their potential!

Peek into Mr. Richardson's class at Sundown High School! Hard work is the norm in his class from using an oxy acetylene torch to forging steel, welding, hand engraving and woodshop work! A man of many talents teaching young minds to learn new skills! Keep it up Mr. Rich!

Thursday Football Game now a Home Game for MS & JV [Nov. 2nd]

MS will NOT have a Pep-Rally.

A huge "Thank you” to the Sundown VFD and Sundown Police for agreeing to escort the band out of Sundown Monday morning!
Buses roll at 7:50 am. The kids would love it if you’d join the line up! They love seeing y’all all the way from the baseball field to 385!!! Roughnecks are headed back to State! Bound for San Antonio!
