This morning, these 6, 7th, and 8th graders headed to Shallowater to compete for a spot in the 1A/2A All-Region Band. Competing against hundreds of other students from schools in our region, 17 earned a spot in either the Symphonic (top) or Concert Band that will perform together in January! We are so proud of these kids for making an effort to learn the music, challenge themselves, and show up on a Saturday after a very busy week with Academic UIL Contest and sports activities! Roughettes lead Denver City 17-11 at the half.
Social Action has placed collection boxes near each campus office. We will be collecting new and gently-used blankets through next Monday, Dec. 16, then taking them to the school in Levelland that serves children in the foster system. We hope that you will consider being a blessing to others this season by donating a blanket.
